Thank you to Cult of Android for tipping me off about this:
This offer expires at midnight tonight.
I will post photos and video later, I just wanted to get this posted ASAP, because the Kickstarter Campaign ends on Thursday.
When I got my Nexus 7 last year, I wanted to find a way to carry it with me out of the house. There had to be a carrying bag out there that was suitable and masculine. Ladies have their purses. My wife can fit everything in her purse. I think Jimmy Hoffa is in there! My wife is from Detroit. Hmmm… I wonder…. Okay, maybe not Jimmy Hoffa, but she can fit a lot in there, including her Kindle, which she takes everywhere.
I saw the Man-PACK via some advertising and thought that it would be just the thing I needed to transport my Nexus 7 and probably some other things. I decided to pick one up. Now before I go any further, those of you that have followed my other reviews know that I always give a full disclosure statement. A majority of the Nexus 7 cases I have reviewed have been furnished to me by the manufacturer for the purpose of writing a review. In this case (no pun intended), I did purchase the Man-PACK. The creator of the Man-PACK, Aaron Tweedie, lives in my town. I met him in person and I purchased a Man-PACK from him.
Now that I’ve had the opportunity to review six different cases for the Nexus 7, I just wanted to give some brief thoughts about each case. I will link to each of the reviews here on my blog.
NOTE: This entry was originally written in January 2013. I am just now getting around to posting this.🙂
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about my faithful blog readers. I intended to have a video comparing all the cases I’ve reviewed. My schedule has been a little busy and I haven’t even started on the video. It will have to wait until after New Year’s. In the meantime, I wanted to draw your attention to something Google just started today on Google Play. Each day, between 12/17/2012 (that’s today!) and 01/01/2013, there will be a new surprise on Google Play. Make sure you check back each day for a new surprise!
Merry Christmas and have a Happy and BLESSED New Year!🙂
There’s no need to fear. I spoke to Speck today and they told me that the case is being redesigned for the new HSPA+ version of the Nexus 7. It seems that the HSPA+ version of the Nexus 7 has some changes in the location of the microphone, headphone jack, and other ports in order to make room for the SIM card slot. The new case will be a universal case and will accommodate both the Wi-Fi only and the HSPA+ version. There is no ETA on the arrival of the new case, so you may want to choose that “Notify me” option.
